The re-mote knowledge hub brings together our research, publications, articles, talks and practical resources exploring how homes can be designed to perform better—environmentally, economically and for the people who live in them.
Drawing on architectural practice, academic research and real-world projects, we explore the intersection of high-performance design, energy, housing, technology and human behaviour. This is where we share what we are learning, question the way things have traditionally been done, and translate complex research into knowledge that can actually be used. Through our current research and publications, we are sharing peer-reviewed research, academic papers and ongoing doctoral research exploring high-performance housing, autonomous and resilient homes, energy systems, co-design and the relationship between architecture and building performance.

re-mote exists to close the gap between what we know and what we actually build. Our work combines research with real-world architectural experience to help make high-performance design easier to understand, evaluate and implement. Better information leads to better decisions.
